I consider it to be the cherry on top of the Bebop franchise, although it is a great movie, it's best enjoyed as a treat after you finish the main series. Cowboy Bebop the Movie: Knocking On Heavens Door is a side story to the TV series directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. I would recommend that you watch the show first though, it will introduce you to the characters and teach you about them, which this movie doesn't really do. It's an excellent adaptation of the show, it really feels like one big episode. I thoroughly recommend this movie for any Bebop fans out there.
